The Faculty of Earth Technology and Energy (FTKE) Universitas Trisakti has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the Indonesian Society of Petroleum Engineers (IATMI) to strengthen and develop the implementation of the university’s three pillars (Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi). The signing ceremony took place on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, in the meeting room on the 5th floor of Building D, FTKE, and was attended by the Dean, Faculty Leaders, FTKE Program Leaders, and the Chairman of IATMI along with his team.

The purpose of this MoA is to enhance collaboration in research aimed at advancing science and technology, particularly in the energy sector, and to provide service to the oil and gas industry, thus strengthening the link between universities, industries, and companies. In his remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Earth Technology and Energy, Dr. Ir. Suryo Prakoso, MT, expressed that this partnership represents a strategic step to prepare graduates ready to face the evolving challenges of the industry. “Through this collaboration, we hope to improve the quality of education and research at the Faculty of Earth Technology and Energy. Additionally, we aim to make a tangible contribution to the development of the petroleum industry in Indonesia,” he said.

IATMI Chairman Raam Krisna added that this partnership is expected to benefit both parties. “We believe that, through this collaboration, we can share knowledge and experience and prepare a young generation that is competent in the field of petroleum engineering,” he explained.

With the signing of this MoA, it is hoped that a harmonious and productive relationship will be established between the Faculty of Earth Technology and Energy Universitas Trisakti and IATMI, which will positively impact the advancement of science and technology in Indonesia.
