Scientific publications play a crucial role for students at Universitas Trisakti, particularly within the Faculty of Earth Technology and Energy (FTKE). Without scientific publication, knowledge cannot evolve. In an era where research has advanced significantly, the development and enhancement of knowledge can be articulated through journal publications. Therefore, it is essential for students to actively engage in creating scientific publications to contribute to the advancement of knowledge.

The Faculty of Earth Technology and Energy, Universitas Trisakti, held a “Workshop on Writing Internationally Reputable Journals” over two days on October 10-11, 2024, in Room Diponogoro on the 5th floor of Building D. The workshop aimed to enhance students’ abilities in writing articles for publication in both accredited national journals and internationally reputable journals.

The event was opened by Dr. Ir. Suryo Prakoso, S.T., M.T., with remarks from the Deputy Dean III, Ir. Mulia Ginting, M.T., supported by the Assistant Deputy Dean III and the sub-section of Research and Community Service. They expressed hope that the workshop would improve students’ scientific writing skills and foster their enthusiasm and motivation to continue writing scientific publications to support the accreditation goals of programs within the Faculty of Earth Technology and Energy.

The workshop featured Dr. Martha Rianna, S.Si, a lecturer from the Physics Department at the University of North Sumatra, as the resource person. It was attended by 30 active students from the Faculty of Earth Technology and Energy Universitas Trisakti.

This initiative aims to realize the vision of FTKE, which is to become a reliable faculty with international standards while considering local values in developing knowledge, earth technology, and energy to improve quality of life and civilization.
