Bandung, September 30, 2024 – Students from the IATMI Student Chapter and the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Student Chapter, under the Petroleum Engineering Program, conducted a field visit to the Wayang Windu Geothermal Field operated by Star Energy. Located 40 km south of Bandung, West Java, Star Energy Geothermal Wayang Windu operates a total of 230.5 MW for the Java-Madura-Bali (JAMALI) Interconnected Electricity Network.

The field visit was opened by Dr. Kartika Fajarwati Hartono, a representative from FTKE and advisor for the SPE Student Chapter. Presentations were given by representatives from Star Energy Geothermal, Ms. Annisa Nurlatifah and Mr. Dwi S. Handoko.
